HKC Radio is pleased to anounce a new subchannel to the main HKC Radio streams. The Rising is for those people who want to learn to broadcast, those people who believe they don't have the proper setup, those people who think they aren't up to scratch talent-wise, or those who just want to broadcast in a low pressure, low promotion environment. Mentoring is an option for those who need it, and those who work hard enough may graduate to HKC Radio. If you should like to join us, contact either me, "west factor," or "JDX," and we'll give you the streaming information.
cool nick. i like your idea. i think you have a good thing going with the rising. I'll have to check it out myself :). keep doing what you do man.
It's a very cool idea. It's nice to know you won't just disapear.
Awesome...if I had time I would do it.
However, I do not have that much time to do a regularly scheduled thing.
That's why I have a podcast instead.
Well, the first domino fell. We got an applicant, who has been excepted. Mister Vera, Kerry123, whatever you want to call him, will be taking us up on our offer. Now, that leads me to something I'd like to make clear.
The Rising is only an HKC Radio Subsidiary that uses its resources. However, in internet radio terms, it is still its own independent radio station with its own goals. While HKC Radio's mission is to bring you high quality internet radio content, the Rising exists to provide people a low pressure environment to broadcast. As such, the Rising is, and ought to be, a station with separate standards, ideals, whatever you want to call them from HKC Radio, while HKC Radio still is related to The Rising as its parent. Broadcasters, as we say, may graduate to HKC Radio if they work hard enough. That constitutes a mutual readiness by both the broadcaster regarding confidence in him/herself, and the station in confidence in the broadcaster with regards to the ability for them to work under the pressures of HKC Radio.
As such, stay tuned, this will be an interesting venture for all involved. Check back as we finalize the details such as a Windows Live Messenger address and a full launch date.
